So as you may know I’m a sucker for a bargain or good quality sale item. Throughout the years my mum has always said to me “You always find good items in Primark” and I don’t know whether this is true or whether the items have got better in Primark. Both I think!
The Primark Beauty Range has exploded in the last year and is giving more high end retailers a run for their money. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a snob when it comes to some items and I won’t swap my beloved Estee Launder foundation or Clinique moisturiser for their foundation or beauty products just yet.
However when I was shopping there a few months ago I came across their £8 curlers. STEAL. At the time I had been wanting to buy curlers for a while, but was torn between more expensive brands. So when I saw the Primark curlers for sale I knew I had to buy them. Also I knew if they weren’t great, then it was only £8 lost. I mean a Mcdonalds is almost as expensive as that these days (Robbing us blind, not even worth it for the monopoly anymore!)
I thought I would do a little review in case anyone was interested in buying them yourselves. This post is not sponsored/paid for or an advertisement. I simply thought it would be a good item to review and post about on my blog. All thoughts are my own!!
So what is good about them? Well for the price they look good quality, when compared to similar brands and have that copper look as part of the packaging.
At the tip of the wand, there is a part that allows you to hold on to the wand and prevents you burning your fingers. They also warm up quickly and have a little stand attached to prevent you burning the floor or table.
I have tried them out twice and got different results both times. I had more time with the first attempt and this allowed me to create better curls I feel. When I tried to curl my hair the second time it made me look like a frizzy haired monster who has returned from an all nighter.
I find it really difficult to make my hair curly and have tried many products in the past so I’m up for anything that might give it a bit more of a curl.
In my opinion, they do what they are supposed too and give a curl but it’s more beach-wave curls than tight ringlets. This is perfect for me as I prefer the beach look, but if you are looking for curlers that do ringlets or fancier hair than maybe look elsewhere.
I personally believe these are good curlers and are worth a lot more than what they cost so bargain! I will keep trying to make my hair look like a sexy beach goddess.
Let me know if you found this useful and what curlers you use.
